About The school counselor
My name is Mr. Williams, and I’m proud to serve as a school counselor here in the Montgomery area. For over 18 years, I've worked with students, families, and teachers to help kids find their strengths, gain confidence, and deal with everyday life. I am a three time graduate of Alabama State University, Troy University and Auburn University in Montgomery.
I grew up right here in the capital city, and I know firsthand that every student’s story is different. My journey has taught me the value of hard work, hope, and the feeling of having someone who believes in you. That’s why I’m passionate about creating a safe and supportive space where students can talk openly, set goals, and learn the skills that they need to successful in school and in life.
Whether it’s helping a student manage stress, plan for the future, or to simply have a listening ear, my goal is to meet each student where they are and walk with them as they grow. Together, we can make school a place where every student feels seen, supported, and capable of some amazing things.
My approach
My approach is built on empathy, connection, and practical support. I take time to truly understand each student’s story and meet them where they are. I focus on helping students build confidence, develop coping skills, and find positive ways to handle challenges in and out of the classroom. By combining compassion with structure, I create a safe space where students feel heard and supported while also learning tools they can use to succeed in school and life. Visitors can feel confident knowing that I bring both professional experience and genuine care to every student. I understand the challenges young people face today and use proven strategies to help them grow emotionally, socially, and academically.
